That symbol is defined in xsrc/external/mit/xinput/dist/src/xinput.c, but is
protected by a "#ifdef HAVE_XI2".
Did you clear out obj/external/mit/xorg/bin/xinput?
(It seems yes from your answer above.)
If it is broken, then I am responsible and will try to fix it.
