This is true.  With Professional MachTen, the kernel runs in supervisor
state and applications run in user state.

Right.  MacOS runs entirely in supervisor state.

MachTen is a port of 4.3BSD Unix, with networking from the 4.3 Reno
release.  It is a complete port.  The only thing we left out intentionally
was Unix games, since we thought that Mac games were better.  And, we
incorporated GNU software development tools.  Is that what you were asking?
