Sorry if this has already been said, but
Emacs for the Macintosh (i.e. under Sys 7, not BSD) is available in
full elisp-running form as a nice port written by Marc Parmet of
Cornell University. It requires an '020 or better.
Sometimes this may be more convenient than using BSD. Especially
for those of us who eagerly await a IIsi port (internal video).
