(note that i'm not really "one of them" -- in fact there's really only
one of them -- but i have more info than most.)

If you were one person, working on the final release of a piece of
software, that you knew that *lots* of people wanted, would you:
	(1) be vocal, and tell everybody when you planned to be done,
		and wait for the mail to flood in asking about details?
	(2) be quiet, and try to get work done?

The public gains *nothing* by knowing the probable release date
of 4.4-Lite, but there *definitely* will be a 4.4-Lite release.
