This has been puzzling me for some time now, but I hadn't gotten
around to asking, so I'll ask now: why does NetBSD require the
presence of a floating point coprocessor in order to function?
I may be wrong, but I have always thought the reasons are,
1) The compiler (gcc) assumes the presence of FPU.
i.e. it generates floating point instructions.
2) NetBSD/68k port does not have working FPU emulation
software (yet).
Is this correct?
