This should not be necessary. The "rw" should be in the /etc/fstab file.
Why did you need this?
/etc/ttys:
> -console "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" vt100 off secure
> +console "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" vt100 on secure

> -ttye0 "/usr/libexec/getty Pc" vt100 on secure

It is a minor correction, but I'd turn ttye0 off instead of making the line
into a comment. You might also leave the console turned off and make the
tty00 line on, secure and std.9600.
