I tried to connect to my machine at work using SLIP, and I couldn't connect
to the modem. Following the directions in the SLIP HOWTO, I typed
cu -l /dev/tty00 -s 19200
and got back the response "Connected." When I then started to type the
modem init string, I immediately (i.e., as I hit the "a" in "at...") got
cu: write: Input/ou;ut error
Disconnected.
and then got the prompt back. What have I missed here?
