Allen Briggs has randomly hit several keys, resulting in

 If grf isn't configured, open() fails and errno is set to Device not configured,
if I can believe in what 'cat' says. I just made dt so that if no grfs could be 
opened it doesn't start (though I have yet to test the no-start in action :)
