This is exactly what I see on my MacII. I don't have RAM Doubler, but I
need to disable Mode32 to get MacBSD to run.

When you removed RamDoubler, did you leave Mode32 enabled?  Can you check
if things work OK with neither RamDoubler or Mode32, thats what I see.

Which version??

Maybe the code that used to work with Mode32 on has changed since generic
and can be fixed so Mode32 will work and we can have more than 8 megs.
