I was considering picking up an Ethernet board for my MacBSD system (an
SE/30, 8 megabytes RAM) and connecting to it through an X server on my
PowerMac (eXodus or, when it becomes available, MachTen). In this
configuration, do I have to run xdm? Is there any savings in RAM on the
MacBSD side, because it no longer has to run the X server software? With 8
megs, I have to scrape for every bit of RAM I can...
What Ethernet boards have been tested to work on an SE/30?
Thanks.
-David.
