FreeBSD-announce recently said this:

Now, I doubt we are up to having a full fledged conference, but it
*would* be nice to get a bunch of developers and users together at
some point to discuss the project, drink beer, and overall enjoy
ourselves. Anyone have any ideas on this subject?
