I would definitely prefer tables. I have tossed up an example which partly
uses an image for easier reading. If we are extremely concerned
about the appearance in text browsers that could be converted to text
as "A | B | C | D etc." and then explain the legends later on.
I do however think that the images offers such clarity that I in this case
are willing to "sacrifice" text mode browsers.

I have not changed the text in any way but we should perhaps explain that
Linux x86 binaries only work on the x86 architecture and so forth.
