NYSA. The topic will be "Open Source Packages for Unix".
Admission is free, so are the refreshments and pizza. Bring

Open-Source Packages for UNIX

Presentation:
The talk will concentrate on the fundamentals of packaging and package
distribution, with specifics about the pkgsrc and CVS tool suites. These
tools are extensively used for Linux and NetBSD, but are available on
almost any UNIX platform.
Speaker:
Christos Zoulas is one of the lead developers of NetBSD
(http://www.netbsd.org). He received his PhD from Cornell University and
has primarily worked in the financial business. He has held senior
positions at such firms as D.E. Shaw, Commerzbank AG, and Blink.Com and
now works for a private hedge fund called TwoSigma. Among his
many accomplishments, Christos is the maintainer of the tcsh UNIX shell.
