Subject: Cray-Cyber invites to open day on Nov 27th 2004
Dear BIM-People,
on Nov, 27th 2004 from 12:00am to 6:00pm the Vintage Computer Center of
Cray-Cyber.org invites to their third tours day at their location
Staeblistrasse 10b, 81477 Munich, Germany.
Cray-Cyber.org will show running mainframes of several periods of the mainframe
era. Visitors of the first tours day last year already know the main exhibits:
a running Control Data Cyber 960 mainframe from 1986, a running Cray Y-MP EL
from 1991 as well as a fluid cooled Control Data 860, built in 1982.
After renovation of the computer center beginning of this year, Cray-Cyber.org
extended its collection by several interesting machines, e. g. a NEC SX4B/2A
and a Control Data 4680MP.
Our newest acquirement is a Cray C94 vector supercomputer and a Cray T3D
massive parallel system.
Of course, a broad range of typical peripheral devices such as punchcard
readers, tape drives, ancient high speed printers, disk packs, power supplies
are available and functional for most of the machines.
Most of the systems are fully operational and will be demonstrated up and
running. Interested visitors can operate machines on their own.
It would be nice, if you could also print and spread our poster:

(or the german version):

Further information about Cray-Cyber.org is available via Internet at
www.cray-cyber.org.
We look forward to see you!
Best regards,
The Cray-Cyber Team
