A kind soul lent me an account on an Amiga, so I compiled the MIT AFS stuff
for NetBSD/amiga.
I'd be particularly interested in hearing from non-Amiga m68k8k ports
(sun3? Mac) as to whether this module indeed works for them too.
The release is in the afs-contrib area
(/afs/transarc.com/public/afs-contrib/bin/netbsd.client). This is
version 1.16. As usual, contact your site's AFS administrator to get
access to these files (access is restricted to sites licensed for the
AFS client code).
I've only compiled for 1.0 for now (I need to get -current kernel
include files to build for -current).
This is the same version 1.16, equivalent to the most recent releases
for i386, m68k4k/hp300, and sparc (I have not updated the i386, m68k4k
or sparc distributions).
If you have another NetBSD port for which you'd like AFS built, and can
provide network access to same, please contact me privately to see if we
can make porting arrangements.
The distributions themselves are constructed as a "package" (a stylized
compressed tar file with install script support). You can fetch the
package tools: via FTP from either
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/packages/tools/src/pkg_src.tar.gz or
ftp.netbsd.org:/pub/NetBSD/packages/tools/binaries/NetBSD-1.0/amiga/pkg_install.tar.gz (amiga/m68k8k binaries).
