Alistair sent me version 1.40 of pccons.c dated 2/9/94. I recompiled my
Feb 27 kernel, replacing v1.49 of pccons.c dated 2/25/94 with v1.40. Now
the keyboard reponds properly and I'm able to use this kernel, so it
appears I've found a bug in pccons.c post-1.40. All other files are current
as of the Feb 27 sup.
My config(8) is up-to-date.
Again, the symptom of this problem is an absolutely unresponsive keyboard;
no LEDs function and no keystrokes are echoed to the screen nor do they seem
to have any effect. Therefore, I cannot log in and must reset the machine
and boot an old kernel.
My hardware:
Micronics JX-30 VL-Bus 486DX2-66 (Gateway 4DX2-66V system)
Anykey-124 keyboard (standard Gateway keyboard)
