"Load_fd" (note the capitalization) is defined in the .commonutils file.  It
definately does exist ... perhaps you typed "load_fd" instead?  It uses the
MS-DOS filesystem in the kernel to access the floppy drive, so it does _not_
use mread.

You are correct in that copy_kernel does not make the HD bootable; the
install or upgrade programs are supposed to do that.  Did you run them?
