System: NetBSD hobbit 1.0A NetBSD 1.0A (HOBBIT) #4: Fri Mar 24 15:55:20 EST 1995 root@hobbit:/usr/bsd_src/src/sys/arch/sparc/compile/HOBBIT
Architecture: sparc

>Description:

The following command (run as root):

	find . -print | cpio -oac | dd bs=16k > /dev/rst0

normally works well to steam a tape device...
On port-sparc (kernel was -current on Friday March 24 but earlier
kernels showed same behaviour)
It often as not results in:

sd0(esp0:3:0): timed out
sd0(esp0:3:0): timed out
sd0(esp0:3:0): timed out

and the need to reboot.
