>Description:
Since updating from 1.0 to March27 -current, mv complains when moving
files from /tmp to say /var/spool/nn (all being done by user news)
news:1$ touch /tmp/junk
news:2$ mv /tmp/junk /var/spool/nn
mv: /var/spool/nn/junk: set owner/group: Operation not permitted
news:3$ ls -alg /var/spool/nn/junk
-rw-rw-r-- 1 news news 0 Apr 1 19:17 /var/spool/nn/junk
news:4$ ls -algd /var/spool/nn
drwxrwxr-x 3 news news 512 Apr 1 19:17 /var/spool/nn/
News owns the original file and the target directory.
news:11$ touch /tmp/junk
news:12$ ls -lg /tmp/junk
-rw-rw-r-- 1 news wheel 0 Apr 1 19:20 /tmp/junk
When I do the same as user sjg (mv /tmp/x $HOME) I get no complaint
but the file remains in group wheel. Neither $HOME nor /var/spool/nn
have any interesting mode bits set.
