Is there a holy-wars@netbsd.org we can move this all to?  I'm enjoying this
debate, and there's a lot of serious issues like this to debate (this one,
the kernel-locking or uucp-file-locking for serial devices, et al.), but
if we're all debating whether or not it's a bug, shouldn't we debate it
elsewhere?
