>Description:
There seems to be some problem with the linux compat open syscall
regarding nonexistant files (sorry for this very vague description).
>How-To-Repeat:
If I run the linux ldd (version 1.7.3) with an nonexistant file
as an argument, it just hangs and consume endless cpu-time.
Starting the linux SimCity demo also just hangs shortly after
startup. I looked into this and found that it tries to open
two files (/usr/local/tclX/7.3b/tclIndex &
/usr/local/tkX/3.6b/tclIndex) that are nonexistant on my machine.
If I create two dummy files with this names the program starts
up successfully. The SimCity demo used to startup without problems
with the early versions of the linux compat code.
