System: NetBSD freetocreate.cais.com 1.1_ALPHA NetBSD 1.1_ALPHA (FREETOCREATE) #0: Sat Nov 4 19:29:47 EST 1995 root@freetocreate.cais.com:/usr/src/sys/arch/amiga/compile/FREETOCREATE amiga
Architecture: amiga

>Description:
	Back last August Markus Wild(The original amiga port-master)
	pointed out that somehow totally untested code made it's way
        into the kernel	and no one has fixed it.
        Compiling the GENERIC kernel with the option:
        RETINA_SPEED_HACK commented out (the default) results in a kernel
        that vm_faults() immediately

>How-To-Repeat:
	Just compile a GENERIC kernel and run it on a machine with
        a retina III card
>Fix:
	Very quick fix that works well and stable is to
	just uncoment the RETINA_SPEED_HACK GENERIC kernel option.
        in the sys/arch/amiga/GENERIC file.
	Long term solution would to remove the buggy code
