>How-To-Repeat:
	Between command 326 and 327, I've edited a PR, and hit
save-and-exit on emacs.  I do the exact same sequence of events
between 327 and 328, yet mysteriously it behaves differently.  Emacs
is 19.31, if it matters, but I've had the same problem with vi.
