- Make sure you downloaded the files in "binary" mode.  They are not
encoded, and some web browsers (for example) don't know how to properly
deal with them.  I usually use Fetch, which has an explicit binary
download option.

- Installer 1.0 has a bad default for required memory.  Use the Get Info
dialog to set the memory requirements higher if you are using this
version; it defaults to 1000KB, but 2000KB is more realistic.
Alternatively, you can get the 1.1 version, if you don't already have it.

- Last but definitely not least, I _strongly_ recommend that you not use
NetBSD 1.1, but instead get one of the recent 1.2_BETA snapshots.  It's
significantly more robust than the 1.1 version was.  You can find these
