>Description:
A while ago I reconfigured "amd" on my two NetBSD 1.2 systems to use TCP
for automounted NFS filesystem. Since this change I experienced problems
with mounting filesystems. From time to time "amd" started to hang on a mount
attempt. If I were luckily it worked after 1-3 retries but sometimes I had
to kill and restart "amd". After a while I got fed up with this and
reconfigured "amd" to use UDP. After I compiled 961022 NetBSD 1.2A sources
I retried to use TCP and found out that the problem still exists. The
only thing which is logged if this happens is something like this:

Oct 13 15:59:41 colwyn /netbsd: nfs server amd:87: not responding
Oct 13 15:59:41 colwyn /netbsd: nfs server amd:87: is alive again

>How-To-Repeat:
Use "amd" with option "tcp" to mount a NFS filesystem. Sooner or later it
will start to hang on mount attempts.

Sorry, but I don't even know wether this a problem with the automounter,
the NFS server or the kernel.
