>Release: 1.2
>Environment:
System: NetBSD clydesdale.math.montana.edu 1.2G NetBSD 1.2G (CLYDESDALE) #2: Mon Jun 16 15:46:23 MDT 1997 cjones@clydesdale.math.montana.edu:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/CLYDESDALE i386
>Description:
This machine is running a sendmail with profiling compiled in. In
tracking down a weird kernel performance bug, I compiled a profiled
kernel and tried running it. Whenever I start sendmail under this
kernel, though, the machine entirely locks up; pcvt won't even change
to other virtual terminals. This behavior occurs when sendmail is
started as root from /etc/rc, and it also occurs when my mailer tries
to run sendmail as a non-privileged user.
