System: NetBSD erik-be.uni-c.dk 1.3_ALPHA NetBSD 1.3_ALPHA (ERIKBE) #66: Thu Nov 6 12:03:15 MET 1997 erik@erik-be.uni-c.dk:/sw/NetBSD/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/ERIKBE i386
>Description:
i386/conf/GENERIC still references the ed device that has recently
been split into several other devices. I do not know whether or
not the problem described still exists with the replacement devices.
This may also apply to the rest of the configuration files.
>How-To-Repeat:
Look at the following lines in GENERIC:
# ISA tape devices
# note: the wt driver conflicts unpleasantly with ed devices at the
# same I/O address. The probe reprograms their EEPROMs. Don't
# uncomment it unless you are actually using it.
