>Environment:
System: NetBSD yui 1.3 NetBSD 1.3 (RFHPC) #24: Thu Feb 5 13:47:50 MET 1998 feyrer@jabberwocky:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/RFHPC i386
>Description:
I'm just discovering something interresting in the "du" output of
a 1.3/i386 system that mounts a disk via NFS from a Solaris 2.5
machine:
yui% ls -la kdeutil*
-rw-r--r-- 1 feyrer bedienst 781936 Feb 1 15:39 kdeutils-Beta3-1.src.tar.gz
yui% du -sk kdeutil*
12416 kdeutils-Beta3-1.src.tar.gz
On the Solaris box, this shows as:
rfhs8012% du -sk kdeutils-Beta3-1.src.tar.gz
776 kdeutils-Beta3-1.src.tar.gz
The value given here seems to be off by a factor of 16. This problem
does not occur when mounting from another NetBSD box.
>How-To-Repeat:
Put some file up on a filesystem exported from a Solaris 2.5
box, then mount it and hand it to du. See it give a wrong value.
>Fix:
Unknown.
