Actually, that's true, esp. if the patches can't be applied by hand 
(which is probably most often the case). One more note on sending in 
patches, though: don't hesitate uuencoding your patchfiles, as I've seen 
nasty cut&paste glitches WRT whitespaces breaking patchfiles in the past.
