>Release: 6/10/98<NetBSD-current source date>
>Environment:
System: NetBSD polaris 1.3 NetBSD 1.3 (POLARIS) #0: Thu Mar 26 13:17:18 MST 1998 root@polaris:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/POLARIS i386
>Description:
Looking at the icon pkg, it's marked only for arch-i386. Attempted to build under
alpha, and it bombed. Looked around, saw the newest version was 9.3.1, grabbed that,
cleaned up the patches *alot*, fixed it so it works on alpha.
Note for other port-maintainers/hackers:
I was able to do the alpha support by copying the dec_osf stuff and modifying it
to fit netbsd/alpha. Most likely the same can be done for other arches, given time
and patience.
>How-To-Repeat:
cd lang/icon && make on alpha.
>Fix:
A patch is infeasable, as almost everything in this pkg had to be modified to make
it work. It has been regression tested on i386, and still works fine.
