I recently tried to netboot an alpha where all helper machines (dhcp/bootp
server, tftp server, nfs server; same machine, actually) were on another
net.  What happened was this:

* I typed "boot ewa0 -proto bootp".  The dhcp server served me.

* The alpha tftp'd and ran netboot.  So, the SRM console can deal with the
server being on another net.

* Netboot failed with a BOOTP error.  My server never saw the BOOTP
requests (tested with tcpdump).

When I changed the tftp and nfs servers to be a laptop on the same
net, and changed the dhcp server appropriately, it booted.
