>Description:
Sane 0.74 (or at least most of the scanner backends) got broken,
probably somewhere along libtoolification. On all backends I have tried
ld.so complains about an `Undefined symbol "_scsireq_enter"'. That symbol
gets defined in ${WRKDIR}/sanei/sanei_scsi.c, which becomes part of
libsanei. Looks like the backend libraries somehow no longer get linked
against libsanei.
>How-To-Repeat:
# echo /dev/uk1 >/usr/X11R6/etc/sane.d/umax.conf
# xscanimage umax
/usr/libexec/ld.so: Undefined symbol "_scsireq_enter" called from xscanimage:/usr/X11R6/lib/sane/libsane-umax.so.0 at 0x402272a4
Exit 1
>Fix:
Unfortunately I'm not too far into the subtleties of pkglibtool,
so I can't provide a patch here, but the libsane-<backend> libraries need
linking with libsanei.
