>Description:

ps without any options also shows me processes without controlling terminal.
The manpage says that I should use the -x option to achieve that...

Here's an extract of my ps output:

  275 ?? IW+ 0:00.08 /bin/sh /usr/X11R6/bin/startx
  280 ?? IW+ 0:00.31 xinit /home/lorenz/.xinitrc --
  281 ?? S 0:42.42 X :0 (Xsun24)
  285 ?? IW 0:00.08 /bin/sh /home/lorenz/.xinitrc
  292 ?? S 0:01.87 fvwm
  294 ?? S 0:05.96 swisswatch
  295 ?? S 0:00.88 xload
  297 ?? S 0:00.44 xclock

Or is the output of ps just broken and the processes do have a controlling
terminal? How can I test that?
