>Description:
Sometimes I amuse myself by blowing away my old /usr/pkg (and
/var/db/pkg, of course) and I do `make install' in /usr/pkgsrc.
This has never succeeded completely, but at the moment it seems
to be unusually broken.
I used the pkgsrc from 990102. There were so many broken
packages I dont't have the stamina to report them individually.
Once things are working a little better I'll repeat this
excercise.
Here's the executive summary:
* qt-1.42 doesn't work with kde
* many programs depend on addnerd-1.5, but we install 1.6
* gtj+-1.1.9 fails to install
* programs depending on gtk+-1.0.6 don't build
* many programs report using deprectated unix symbol:
perl-5.00404 teTeX-0.4p8 mpack-1.5 mysql-3.21.33b boehm-gc-4.12
emacs-20.3 xzip-1.8 kdegraphics-1.0 urt-3.1b1 imap-uw-4.4
abs-0.5 octave-2.0.13 figlet-2.2 icb-5.0.9
* ...
I'm surprised that I got all these errors. Don't any of the
package maintainer do a complete install now and then?
