System: NetBSD sy-borg 1.3.3 NetBSD 1.3.3 (SY-BORG) #4: Sat Jan 30 11:36:58 EST 1999 dan@sy-borg:/usr/src/sys/arch/pmax/compile/SY-BORG pmax
>Description:
certain programs which use pixmaps cause the Xcfbpmax X11R5 server to crash.
>How-To-Repeat:
the way I've done it is get gtk+-1.2.1 on a machine other than the pmax (no room
on my hard drive). Log into the other machine from the pmax setting the X display
to the pmax. Then
cd /usr/local/src/gtk+-1.2.1/examples/pixmap/
make
./pixmap
The X server then crashes. I've tried this with this simple pixmap program running on
a sparc solaris, x86 solaris, and mac68k NetBSD machine. All of them work on their local
X displays, but all crash the pmax X display.
>Fix:
don't know unfortunately. Maybe the new X11R6 server coming with 1.4 will help?
