A fairly generic i386 system running netbsd-current circa March 1999
System: NetBSD kofa 1.3K NetBSD 1.3K (KOFA) #1: Tue Mar 23 19:13:55 MST 1999 root@aspc15:/u1/src-current/sys/arch/i386/compile/KOFA i386
>Description:
find -h . -print fails with message:
find: illegal option -- h
>How-To-Repeat:
in any directory (perhaps best in one with few files).
find -h . -print
>Fix:
"find . -follow -print" is a fine workaround, however either the
-h switch should be fixed, or it should be removed and the man page
entry describing it removed. Even though, as in my case, old
scripts may depend on the -h switch, I don't find this option
on other unix systems, so the heck with it I say.
