System: NetBSD steelhead 1.4 NetBSD 1.4 (STEELHEAD) #1: Mon May 17 13:21:03 PDT 1999 cphil@steelhead:/usr/src/sys/arch/pc532/compile/STEELHEAD pc532
>Description:
Kernel often panics with "free vnode isn't" panic. This first
started around 1.3K. I didn't report it because my 1.3K kernel
was not compiled with egcs, the current compiler at that time.
Finally, after getting upgraded to 1.4 and recompiling with
egcs I still have the problem. On my system, I have not seen
an uptime of more that about 2 days. It normally panics during
running of the daily script.
>How-To-Repeat:
Big builds (kernel compiles) or daily script that does a find
can cause it. I have not found a reliable way to generate
it.
>Fix:
I have no fix. I do have several kernel dumps and would be
willing for someone who is investigating to use gdb on them.
