>Description:
When gdb is run inside emacs, it litters the buffer with control M's which
are displayed as ^M. This seems to be due to the pseudo tty mode being
set to onlcr. If a shell script which does a stty is run in place of gdb
it can be seen that onlcr is *not* on. ie, for some reason, gdb it turning
it on itself.
gdb 4.16.95 build from FSF sources does not have this problem.
