	/var/spool/output/lpd does not exist.

	Try setting up a printcap entry using this path, it will fail.

	Change the path, in the sample printcap, to /var/spool/lpd from
	/var/spool/lpd
	
	(Even the man page refers to the spool path as /var/spool/lpd.)
