- install mysql from ports.
- call the commandline interface for mysql
do the following select:

mysql> select now();
+---------------------+
| now()               |
+---------------------+
| 2136-01-25 20:29:34 |
+---------------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)


>Fix:

i ifdef'd time(),localtime() inside mit-pthread. This fixed
it, but of course it's not threadsafe now - so this is not a real 
fix, but gives an idea where to look for this error.
