system disk on a seperate Apaptec 2940u (not uw) controllor
Network card is a Cogent EM960 (Dec chipset)
NetBSD 1.4.1 i386 port
System: NetBSD rincewind.asa.co.uk 1.4.1 NetBSD 1.4.1 (GENERIC) #1: Tue Aug 10 00:03:09 MEST 1999 fvdl@struis:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386
>Description:
Kernel panic. The system was found in the kernel debugger. The debugger
reported that the failure occured while one of the nfsd processes was
executing. A further messaged mentioned an error about a free block
count update on an nfs exported disk partion.
I issued a sync and rebooted.
On reboot fsck only found one fault, a free block count discrepency on
on the nfs exported disk partition mentioned by the debugger.
>How-To-Repeat:
Can't say that I have tried, nor do I wish to. The disk is actively
used for user home directories for a network of linux/openstep users.
This problem only occoured after the recent upgrade to 1.4.1. I have
had no such problems before ( when I used NetBSD-1.2.1 !!!!)
