System: NetBSD zorkmid.mit.edu 1.4.1 NetBSD 1.4.1 (ZORKMID) #63: Wed Mar 8 04:52:39 EST 2000 jhawk@zorkmid.mit.edu:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/ZORKMID i386
>Description:
The text in INSTALL is not sufficiently clear about where to
extract pkgsrc.tgz; this resulted in my (perhaps in part due to reading
the document clearly) extracting pkgsrc.tgz in the root filesystem
rather than in /usr/pkgsrc.
It'd be much nicer if INSTALL were as clear about how to extract
pkgsrc.tgz as it is about the distribution sets.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install NetBSD for the first time since the pkg system was
around.
>Fix:
Here's a doc fix. It's against 1.4.1 and needs a little bit of
tweaking for the patch to apply to -current.
