In this case I am indeed inclined to agree since wsvt25 is supposedly a
proper superset of vt220.

Actually, no, I don't think you really do, though that may be the
default way the current package installs. In theory at least ncurses
can use /usr/share/misc/termcap, though as it says in the manual "Use of
this feature is not recommended."
Personally I'd sure like to see termcap go the way of the dodo in
NetBSD, and I don't care whether that means using ncurses as-is or
re-inventing the important parts of it (silly as the latter might be).
