System: NetBSD lyssa.zhadum.de 1.5B NetBSD 1.5B (LYSSA) #1: Fri Jul 21 22:20:43 CEST 2000 tron@lyssa.zhadum.de:/src/sys/compile/LYSSA i386

>Description:
If I try to boot a kernel compiled with "options BUFCACHE=25" the system
panic early during system startup with this message:

cpu_startup: cannot allocate VM for buffers

[The system has 512MB main memory if that matters.]

A kernel compiled after manually commenting out "#define BUFCACHE 0x19" in
"opt_bufcache.h" works fine.

>How-To-Repeat:
Compile a kernel with "options BUFCACHE=25" and try to boot it.

>Fix:
Sorry, I don't know.
