System: NetBSD dr-evil 1.5E NetBSD 1.5E (DR-EVIL) #116: Wed Aug 16 16:12:01 PDT 2000 thorpej@dr-evil:/u1/netbsd/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/DR-EVIL i386
>Description:
My `kue' USB Ethernet interface (a NetGear EA-101) was working
fine until I updated my kernel on the date indicated above. It
now no longer works:
kue0 at uhub1 port 3
kue0: NETGEAR NETGEAR EA101 USB Ethernet Adapter , rev 1.00/0.02, addr 6
kue0: cold boot, downloading firmware
kue0: failed to load code segment: TIMEOUT
kue0: loading firmware failed
The interface is plugged into a self-powered hub, to which my
Macally iKey keyboard is also attached. The keyboard (and
the mouse attached to its hub) are working fine, so I doubt
there is a hub problem. Indeed, the kue fails when plugged
directly into the USB port on the back of the machine.
>How-To-Repeat:
Attempt to use `kue'.
