	making of clisp on i386 current (ELF) fails in two ways:

	1/ the clisp configure cannot handle --x-includes=, --x-libraries=
	   so perhaps TRT is a patch to configure to simply ignore the
	   arguments it is given?

	2/ conftest hangs when checking how interrupts are dealt with;
	   i use top, notice conftest floating to the top of CPU utilization
	   and send a SIGUSR1, which appears to DTRT.   not the best workaround,
	   though, obviously.
