When compiling a custom kernel on a Mac IIcx (IIci has been reported to be affected as well), the machine will fail to boot unless the new kernel includes the internal debugger. Other machines besides these two models may be affected as well.
>How-To-Repeat:
Compile a kernel on a IIcx or IIci without "options DDB" The kernel will freeze after initial pmap and video operations.
>Fix:
Make sure to include "options DDB" in your kernel config. Rebuild and install your new kernel.
