You can't have more than one version of a package installed at the
same time, which is a problem when some package depend a specific
version of another package. Even in other cases you might want to use
different versions from time to time.

One specific example is autoconf/automake where the version in pkgsrc
is pretty incompatible with the latest beta releases.
