System: NetBSD catholic-girls 1.5 NetBSD 1.5 (GENERIC) #1: Sun Nov 19 15:44:10 PST 2000 matt@cheetah.local:/u1/kobj/GENERIC vax
>Description:
my vax paniced. So at the db> prompt I did 'c' and got:
syncing disks... 7 7 7 7 7 7 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 5 5 5 5 5 giving up
dumping to dev 20,9 offset 99122
dump succeeded
the above 2 lines happend fairly quickly.
and when the machine rebooted, I saw:
Checking for core dump...
savecore: no core dump
a few comments from people who have more of a clue than I:
<briggs> The vax calls: (...d_dump)(dumpdev, 0, 0, 0)
<cgd> that's almost certainly wrong.
>How-To-Repeat:
panic the machine
db> c
see it claim to produce a dump
reboot and see none.
