>Environment:
NetBSD dcarmich.xnet.com 1.5 NetBSD 1.5 (GENERIC_LAPTOP) #1: Sun Nov 19 21:53:48 MET 2000 fvdl@sushi:/work/trees/netbsd-1-5/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC_LAPTOP i386
With a Ricoh 5C478 PCI-CardBus bridge
Modem/Ethernet card: 3Com 3C3FEM556C
>Description:
After using my PCMCIA modem/ethernet card (cu -l /dev/tty03), after exiting cu,
the system drops to DDB with:
uvm_fault(0xc0421900, 0xc79a3000, 0, 1) -> 1
kernel: page fault trap, code=0
Stopped in cu at pcmcia_ccr_read+0x1e: movb 0(%edx, %eax, 1), %al
db>
>How-To-Repeat:
1) Insert the card (the card is recognized normally as a 3Com/Megahertz
3CCFEM556BI Ethernet/Modem)
2) Use the modem portion of the card ('cu -l /dev/tty03').
3) Exit cu with ~.
4) See it drop to DDB.
>Fix:
Not known.
The system is an NEC Versa LX with 2 PCMCIA slots, a Pentium II/233 processor, 96MB of RAM, and a 2GB hard disk.
